Travel 90km south from Alice Springs to Rainbow Valley to meet your host, a Traditional Custodian who introduces an amazing Culture and Country to you. Your host will share the spectacular Art Site of Rainbow Valley where we will experience, rock art, engravings and occupations sites never before open to the public. He will share the ancient landscape of Rainbow Valley and explain some of its Cultural significance. This unique tour blends Culture and Country with the bold beauty of Central Australia. It will leave you with lasting memories and a greater understanding of Aboriginal Culture.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

After tea, your host will share the spectacular Art Site of Rainbow Valley where we will experience, rock art, engravings and occupations sites never before open to the public.

In the mid afternoon, your Aboriginal guide will share the ancient landscape of Rainbow Valley and explain some of its Cultural significance. In the late afternoon, admire the changing colours of a spectacular sunset. This unique tour blends Culture and Country with the bold beauty of Central Australia. It will leave you with lasting memories and a greater understanding of Aboriginal Culture.

With this option, the tour can be started at 5.00 pm and finish at approximately 9.00 pm. BYO drinks and foods.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Fly to Rainbow Valley by helicopter. Your private tour with Alice Springs Helicopters includes meeting with a traditional owner of Rainbow Valley, viewing ancient rock art sites and light refreshments.
Departing from the Alice Springs Airport Precinct, you will fly south in your own private helicopter landing within the Rainbow Valley Conservation Reserve. You will then meet your host, a Traditional Custodian, who will share the spectacular Rock Art Site located within a private area of Rainbow Valley.
Light refreshments are enjoyed before boarding your helicopter for the return flight back to Alice Springs. This spectacular journey blends the style and comfort of private travel with ancient culture and features the colourful landscapes found within Central Australia.

TOUR TIMES:
Tours operate daily, strictly upon request and are subject to availability. It is advisable to book well in advance as it is only possible to operate one heli-tour to the site per day.
Tours can depart from 8.00am until 12.00pm and return approximately 3.5 hrs later – time includes return vehicle transfers from your Alice Springs Hotel.

TOUR INCLUSIONS:
Private Helicopter Charter, Private Guided Rock Art Tour with a traditional owner, light refreshments, return vehicle transfers from your Alice Springs accommodation.
